I have put together a famiy photobook on Photobox and will be putting some of those photos up on this website for a while for my family to see! And anything I find out about our ancestors.

She was born in 1880, probably in Cairo, married my grandfather, Herbert William Dare AUSTIN on 29 Dec 1911 who worked in Alexandria for the Cable and Wireless company which was based in Porthcurno in Cornwall. They had three daughters, Ruby (my mother), and twins Mary and Laura and died in Sep 1917 aged 37.
The only other information I have is that it is thought that she was the daughter of an Ottoman Syrian Pasha and had been educated in Paris. She had two brothers, Uncle Behjet, a doctor who lived in Nice, and Uncle Tallat, who had a fruit plantation in Basrah.
Marie married Herbert William Dare AUSTIN, son of Samuel Inniss AUSTIN and Alice Elizabeth "Elphie" VENESS, on 29 Dec 1911. (Herbert William Dare AUSTIN was born on 17 Dec 1883 and died on 20 Mar 1945.)
